Trimble VCMS
Electronic Data Solutions acquired the VCMS® (Vector Control Management System) from Clarke February 15, 2011. Clarke, a global environmental products and services company, serves the vector control market worldwide. It’s VCMS system has been used since 1995, as an integrated database and mobile field data collection system designed for mosquito/vector control organizations, public health agencies, and other firms involved in arbovirus surveillance, disease tracking, pest control and integrated pest management (IPM) activities.

VCMS will continue to be available in its present form into 2012. It will not be enhanced with additional functionality; however Elecdata will continue to provide technical support for it into the future. 		Our Sentinel GIS software, based on the Esri ® GIS platform, will continue to be enhanced with additional functionality. Sentinel GIS in its current and future form may be considered a complementary solution to VCMS in the short term, and a viable replacement for some VCMS users but not others in the long term. Future software solutions are being developed during 2011-2012 that will replace VCMS.
