The Trimble FormsPlus demonstration software includes both the Elecdata Data Dictionary Converter and Elecdata Forms Wizard. The demonstration software that runs on your PC will not time out but has the following limitations:

The Data Dictionary Converter will only convert the Trimble data dictionary provided with the software installation. The Data Dictionary file is called "seaview.txt" and is found in the default path: c:\Program Files\Forms Plus\. This ASCII file was generated by exporting the TerraSync tutorial data dictionary, Seaview.ddf, to ASCII format using the Pathfinder Office Data Dictionary Editor.

The Forms Wizard will only allow you to build a form for the "Road_Sign.shp" layer. This layer is generated by using the Data Dictionary Converter to convert "seaview.txt." It can also be found in c:\Program Files\Forms Plus.

In order to view the ArcPad form on completion of the file conversion, you should already have ArcPad installed on your computer. A demonstration copy of ArcPad can be downloaded from www.esri.com.

The FormsPlus Software sells for $249 with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and can be ordered from our on-line store. Upon purchasing and receiving the new serial number and authorization code, the demo software becomes the working version. Please note that the FormsPlus Software replaces the previous version called Data Dictionary File (DDF) Converter. There is no upgrade from DDF Converter to FormsPlus. Please purchase new version FormsPlus.

PC Compatibility
The minimum requirements are as follows:

• An IBM compatible PC with an 80486 or greater processor Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP
• 32 MB of RAM
• 30 MB of free hard disk space
• SVGA or greater video (800 x 600 resolution), 256 or greater color setting

To install the FormsPlus Demo Software... Download the “fpsetup.msi” file into an empty directory or Open (Run) it from its current location. Alternatively, download and extract the “fpsetup.zip” file.

When installing:
If saved to a local directory, from inside Windows Explorer double click on “fpsetup.msi” to install the files. Follow the instructions from the setup wizard.

When registering, type in “demo” for the serial number and "copy" for the authorization.
