Installation Instructions for new DataPlus Professional DOS/CE users who do not have other versions of DataPlus Professional already installed on their computer. Microsoft ActiveSync should be installed prior to installing this demo package if using Windows CE hand helds. This is a free download from Microsoft.

The DataPlus Professional DOS/CE demonstration version has full functionality on the PC for 30 days but has limited capabilities on the hand held. On the hand held, the demo mode will run 10 times and it only allows one dataset per application to be collected at one time with 10 lines maximum per branch file.

PC Compatibility
The minimum requirements are as follows:

• An IBM compatible PC with an 80486 or greater processor
• Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP
• 32 MB of RAM
• 30 MB of free hard disk space
• SVGA or greater video (800 x 600 resolution), 256 or greater color setting

Windows CE-based Hand Held Compatibility
The minimum requirements are as follows:

• An 80486, StrongARM-compatible, MIPS, or XScale-compatible processor
• Screen dimension of at least 320x240 or 240x320
• Windows CE v3.x, Windows CE.NET 4.x, Windows Mobile 2003, 2003 Second Edition or Windows Mobile 5, Mobile 6
• 32MB of RAM
• 1MB of free storage space

To install the PC software...
Download the “DPPSetup.exe” file into an empty directory or Open (Run) it from its current location.

When installing:
If saved to a local directory, from inside Windows Explorer double click on “DPPSetup.exe” to install the files. Follow the instructions from the setup wizard.

When registering, type in “trial” for the serial number on the PC.

For the hand held, press the Demo Mode Button.
